Superstructure

Her attractive hull lines are reflected in the superstructure with an extended wheelhouse and upper after deck, which provides a spacious outdoor living area and steering position. Safety on deck is enhanced by both stainless steel wire and stantions (removable) and grab rails on the forward cabin top. The aft upper deck area has fixed rails, with teak capping and removable wind dodgers. Forward of the external steering position is a formed metal wind dodger and further forward is a large maintenance hatch and fold down radar mast, for coastal work, and alongside this, 4 flexible solar panels, which trickle feed the main battery bank. None of these affect Sheigra Bay's ability to pass all low bridges encountered in France.

On the foreward cabin top is a stainless steel fold down mast which carries navigation lights and instrumentation.  The 75 kg main anchor is handled by a Vetus Maxwell hydraulic windlass positioned so that it can serve both the main anchor chain (60m) or the mooring ropes from the capstan head.  On the lower aft deck there is an electric powered mooring capstan, which could also deploy the Danforth anchor on a rope tether. To the fore there are 2 storage lockers and a main hatch accessing the fore peak and aft there are 2 securable equipment lockers, one of which contains gas bottles for the galley.
